Rashmi Metaliks

Project Type: Ongoing

Nature of Work: Mechanical Erection, Installation, and Commissioning

Location: Kharagpur, West Bengal

Project Duration: 14-18 months

HAPBCO is currently executing a high-capacity steel plant project for Rashmi Metaliks in Kharagpur, West Bengal, reinforcing our expertise in large-scale industrial construction. This project features one 350 TPD DRI Kiln and three 1200 TPD DRI Kilns, designed to enhance the plant’s direct reduced iron (DRI) production capacity.

Our team is integrating advanced mechanical erection techniques to ensure precision and efficiency in kiln installation. The 350 TPD and 1200 TPD kilns are engineered for high thermal efficiency, optimized heat recovery, and minimal energy loss, aligning with modern sustainability standards.

With a focus on structural stability, high-quality refractory lining, and advanced automation, HAPBCO is committed to delivering a facility that maximizes productivity while ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations. As construction progresses, this project will significantly contribute to the region’s growing steel manufacturing sector.

Key Challenges

Transporting large and heavy equipment, including the 350 TPD and 1200 TPD DRI kilns, to a remote location requires precise planning and coordination.

Working with limited space and accommodating simultaneous civil, mechanical, and electrical works demands efficient scheduling to prevent delays.

Construction and installation timelines can be impacted by the seasonal weather, especially in regions prone to heavy rainfall.

Adhering to strict safety protocols and regulatory requirements while ensuring the workforce’s safety and meeting environmental standards.
