HAPBCO has been instrumental in the expansion of Mahendra Sponge and Power Limited's steel plant located in Sarora village, Raipur district, Chhattisgarh. This strategic initiative aims to significantly enhance the plant's production capabilities, addressing the growing demand in the steel industry. 

The expansion encompasses the augmentation of sponge iron production, induction furnace capacity, rolling mill operations, and the establishment of a new pellet plant. By integrating advanced technologies and sustainable practices, the project is set to elevate the plant's operational efficiency and environmental compliance.

Technical Details:

* Sponge Iron: Increase from 60,000 TPA to 75,000 TPA using pellets and high-grade coal.

* Induction Furnace: Expansion from 50,000 TPA to 260,900 TPA with new and upgraded furnaces.

* Rolling Mill: Increase from 50,000 TPA to 264,000 TPA, adding a new mill.

* Power: WHRB capacity rises from 4.0 MW to 6.0 MW, FBC remains 4.0 MW.

* Pellet Plant: New 0.4 MTPA plant for raw materials.
