We have erected and commissioned 3Mtpa cement clinkerisation plant of Ultra Tech Cement Limited (UTCL) line-II at Hirmi, Chhattisgarh state in a record period of 12 months. We have conducted puja on 1st April 2021 and commenced the fabrication works. But due to the second wave of Covid pandemic the project work got badly suffered as there was travel ban across India. Also there was acute shortage of oxygen gas as all the oxygen plants were taken over by the government authorities and all the oxygen was diverted for medical use. This restriction continued for two months and our fabrication works were completely stopped during this period. Similarly civil works were also badly suffered during this two month of Covid pandemic and the release of erection front got delayed. The erection front for all the major sections were released from December 2021 onwards and we have erected all the major erections in a span of 3 ½ months and commissioned the project on 10th April 2022. This project couldn’t be completed in a record time without the support of UTCL management. Though there was delay in the manufacturing of equipment due to the second wave of Covid pandemic, the UTCL management has taken initiative and supplied all the required materials and equipment timely, which helped us to complete the project in a record time
